SPCA Paws for a Cause held at BX Ranch in Vernon, B.C.
The Paws for a Cause organizers and volunteers started their day early to have the registration area ready in time.
Our Vernon Mayor and MLA were on hand to speak about the SPCA and how they work very hard for animal care, not just animal control.
Also on hand were the RCMP K-9 unit who demonstrated some unique training techniques which were a real crowd pleaser.
The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Our warrant area includes Vernon, Coldstream, Lumby, Armstrong and Falkland.
We provide temporary shelter and find permanent homes for abandoned and unwanted animals. We also respond to ambulance calls for injured animals throughout the warrant area. Also, we work to educate the community about cruelty prevention, responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying or neutering your pet.
